Here goes nothing.

I’ve heard about someone who launched 12 products in 12 months. I’ve heard about Chinese vibe-coders firing off prompts like there’s no tomorrow. But I haven’t heard of anyone who could actually build a hundred finished products. And yet all the resources to pull it off are already here. The only thing missing is a community crazy enough to back the idea. Since it doesn’t exist, I’ll build it.

Product Lab 100 is exactly that project. I’m challenging myself and committing to creating a hundred products. Start date: today. How will I do it? Honestly — no idea.

I came up with an idea recently. Not sure you’ll buy it, but it hit me hard:

A strong product isn’t born from the desire to build something. It’s born from the tension between a person and the problem.

Maybe not even a person. Which means you need to set yourself a task. Before, I was aiming for one product a month. Now the goal is much bolder: a hundred products — ideally faster, maybe one a week or even one a day. That automatically pushes me toward:

  1. using new tools;
  2. developing my own ways of building;
  3. reshaping how I think;
  4. going through every stage of acceptance.

So this isn’t just mine — I’m inviting you to join. And start building products too. Right now, with no warm-up posts or extra announcements. On your own, or alongside me.

I don’t know what this whole thing will turn into. Who will I become if I finish the marathon? But one thing I’m sure of: a major tectonic shift in how I see and build products will happen over the next three months. Short updates will go on my channel. If you, like me, feel change brewing and have a rough idea — or no idea at all — of what you’d want to create, come into the private community. I’ll share everything I do in detail, and we’ll cross-pollinate.

By the way, I don’t know if I’ll pull this challenge off. From my last two products: the first took 5 days, the second 4 days to a production-ready solution. And that was with force majeure, personal stuff, a day job running in parallel, long test runs, production going down, and arguments with the model. So there really are no excuses.

Already in the marathon

To not just talk: whether anyone joins or not — I’m already in. Product Lab had a quiet launch very recently. I’ve already shipped the first product. Yes, it’s about the lab itself — but I needed to understand what I was building. I think I’ve got it now.)

I wanted to say I won’t teach anyone anything — and that’s true. But explaining, showing, and pointing the way is easy. Plus you’ll do the same as Pro group members, if you decide to join.

More about the lab at productlaba.ru. The whole site was built from a single prompt — joke ;)

Questions? DM me @shenwell. I’ll reply quickly. The private group is paid — just in case anyone was wondering.

Update: the second product is live — stillonline.tech.
